The annual Chinese Calligraphy Display and Huichun organised by the Thomson CC Chinese Calligraphy Special Interest Group (C3SIG) was held on 24 Jan 2016 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Thomson Community Club's 3rd floor. Huichun is a Chinese customs to write auspicious messages on red paper to usher in the Chinese New Year and hopefully to evict bad spirits from the home premises.
The participants/residents not only enjoyed watching calligraphers writing on the spot, but also received free calligraphy and new year couplets.
由汤申书法小组主办的常年书法观摩会与挥春活动于2016年1月24日下午假汤申民众俱乐部三楼成功举行。挥春是一项华人的风俗习惯，在红纸上书写吉祥的话来迎接新的一年，并希望驱走邪恶的精神。
前来参观这项活动的居民不但看到了书法家现场挥春，而且都获得赠送挥春作品与春联，可以说是皆大欢喜。
